Group policyholder meetingsGroup Policyholder Meetings (GPMS) are safety training seminars developed and presented by our Risk Control Professionals. The GPMS assist policyholders to develop and maintain their own effective loss control programs. One of the training seminars offered by our construction outreach trainers is the "OSHA 10 hour Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry Course". This 10 hour course includes OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as an overview of general construction safety. The course is designed to introduce construction managers and employees to construction hazard recognition and the control of construction hazards. After successfully completing the course participants receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10-hour course completion card. Another training seminar is available for Automobile Fleets. Our Harleysville Risk Control Consultants will help your company identify the exposures and loss trends for your business. The consultants then provide training ideas based on those exposures and trends. The consultants have the ability to take your risk data, analyze the information and provide you with easy to read charts and graphs showing how your drivers are performing. By evaluating the data on driver performance, you can determine your training needs but also take steps to control losses by instituting administrative or engineering controls. For policyholders needing assistance or information with setting up a group policyholder meeting, you may contact the Harleysville Risk Control department by phone at 800.523.6344 ext. 8100 or by email.
